*Admission Fee is non-refundable.
**Program Fee includes tuition, room & board, activities and insurance costs.
***We will refund the deposit at the time of check-out. However, in the case of damage to your room, you are required to pay from your deposit for recovery of the damage. Also, if there is a balance due on your payment, we will appropriate the amount from your deposit.

 Tuition Waiver

An exchange student who is nominated from one of AIU’s partner institutions will receive a tuition waiver; the Program Fee is 170,000 yen. Please consult the international office of your school to be nominated and find out if your university and AIU have a student exchange agreement.

 Invoice

AIU will send an acceptance letter and an invoice to admitted students by e-mail via PDF. After receiving an invoice from us, payment in Japanese yen must be completed by wire transfer to AIU’s bank account below.

 Payment Method

The payment deadline is within 2 weeks after you receive the invoice. Please note that participants are responsible for all bank transaction fees associated with the payment. Payment by credit card is not acceptable.

Important Note on your Payment

Please ask your bank to use the code of “OUR” in the field of “71A: Details of Charges,” when your bank remits the money by “SWIFT” in order for AIU to receive the full amount. Otherwise, the bank processing fee of both your home country and Japan will be subtracted from the amount you have transferred. In this case, you are required to pay the balance due from your deposit, in order for AIU to receive the full amount of your required payment.

 Cancellation and Refund Policies

Cancellation

If you wish to withdraw from the program, please contact AIU by email or written letter. Please also contact the international office of your home university.

Refund

If participation is cancelled after April 13, 2012, 50% of the program Fee and full deposit, 135,000 yen will be reimbursed. We will refund the program fee that the participant has already paid to AIU by bank transfer within 30 days after AIU receives a cancellation notice. Please note that the processing fee of the bank transfer will be deducted from the refund.
