Courses

Summer Program 2010 will offer the following five courses of three different levels. Participants are required to take a placement test upon arrival at AIU. Then, each student will be assigned to one of the classes which best suits each participant’s academic needs.

Fees

The Program Fee is 320,000 yen that includes admission fee, tuition fee, room & board fee, activity fee, and insurance fee.

*Admission Fee is non-refundable.
**Program Fee includes tuition, room & board, activities and insurance costs.

Exchange students from AIU’s partner institutions will receive a tuition waiver, and the Program Fee is 170,000 yen. Please contact the international office of your school to find if your university and AIU have a student exchange agreement.

After receiving an invoice from AIU, payment in yen must be completed by wire transfer to AIU’s bank account below. The payment deadline is May 15, 2010. Please note that participants are responsible for all bank transaction fees associated with the payment. Payment by credit card is not acceptable.

If participation is cancelled, 50% of the Program Fee, 135,000 yen will be reimbursed.

 

Housing

Summer Program participants will live in furnished on-campus housing. Two students will share one room or two to four students will share a bathroom. All rooms have internet access and air-conditioning. A common laundry room is available 24 hours a day.

Check-out Day: July 30, 2010

If you wish to join the “Kanto Festival*”, starting on August 3, accommodation will be available until noon on August 4. Fees for extra nights will not be charged, but the participants are requested to pay for meals on a cash basis for any extra days.

*The “Kanto Festival” is one of the most famous summer festivals in Japan. AIU’s Kanto Team will participate in the Kanto performance. Please find the details of the event on the following website: http://www.kantou.gr.jp/english/index.htm
