115 New International Students Gear Up for Fall!

August 25 was the arrival day for new international students who will start their study abroad experience in Japan at AIU beginning in September.

A total of 115 new international students representing the following 21 countries and regions, safely arrived on our campus by airplane, train, and bus.  More than 95% of these students are from partner institutions, while the remaining 5% represent those from non-partner institutions.

These new students, along with the following 13 students who extended their stay from the previous semester, will study academic subjects related to Japan and Asia, study Japanese language, explore Japanese culture through a variety of events, and make friends with Japanese students and people in local communities.

Together with 22 degree-seeking students and 17 new graduate students who will also initiate their studies in September, all new students will participate in the Summer Matriculation Ceremony scheduled to be held on campus on September 1, 2009.
