Two Institutions Joined Our International Network!

In late November 2009, Akita International University signed a student exchange agreement with the University of Nicosia in the Republic of Cypress as well as the Monmouth College in Illinois (U.S.A.), respectively. The number of our partner institutions has now become 95, spreading across 29 countries and regions around the world.

A small signing ceremony was held in the President's Office at Akita International University on November 25. Dr. Andreas Polemitis, Senior Vice Rector of the University of Nicosia, and Dr. Mineo Nakajima, President of Akita International University, singed the agreement.

Akita International University constantly negotiates with institutions around the world so as to expand its international network. All Akita International University local students are required to spend one year abroad at one of these partner institutions in order to graduate from the university.
