Prospective Students
Whether you are a non degree-seeking exchange student or a degree-seeking student, Akita International University offers a variety of programs that will satisfy your academic needs. A majority of our international students are from our partner institutions from all over the world, studying at Akita International University for a semester or two.
Since all Akita International University local Japanese students are required to study abroad for one year to graduate from the university, our students are keen to meet international students to learn about different cultures. We encourage international and Japanese students to meet and exchange perspectives to learn from each other.
