What is AIU Alumni Association "Global Arch"?
Global Arch is not only for AIU graduates, but also for all those involved as part of AIU, including international students, faculties and staffs. The aims of the Association are "to contribute to the development of AIU, to contribute to the international and local communities and to promote mutual friendship among its members."
Since AIU is a relatively small university, students, faculty and staff are closely connected to each other than any other universities. The Association is involved in retaining these precious relationships and interactions after graduation from AIU and facilitating communication among the members.
The Association also plays a important role in supporting AIU, which is a fledging university. The Association is planning to support students' career development, hold a lecture, and set up a scholarship fund. The Association will contribute to the local community as well as to the international society, by contributing the further development of AIU.
Hopes to "Global Arch"
We put hopes into the meaning of Global Arch: the AIU Alumni Association will create a bridge (arch) to AIU graduates beyond generations and deepen exchanges among them; furthermore, AIU graduates who set out to the world from Akita will contribute to the global and local community by creating bridges for people all over the world.
